The Third Coast Review published a thoughtful review of Deborah Kanter’s new book on the Claretians: Pioneers of Latino Ministry: Claretians & the Evolving World of Catholic America. The book was released this week.
Written by a former student at St. Jude Seminary, the review shares both personal reflections and insights from the book about the Claretian charism and far-reaching ministries. As he explains:
“Since 1902, the Claretians have labored to provide not just a religious home but also a hybrid cultural community to people who often found themselves oppressed and marginalized. And still do.”
