On a quiet Saturday morning, marked by prayer and anticipation, our student Juan Carlos Betancourt entered a new chapter in his Claretian journey. On December 6th, during the 8am Mass at our formation house, a special ritual marked the beginning of his postulancy year—the final stage before entering the novitiate.

The postulancy is a time of deep reflection and intentional growth. Throughout this year, Juan Carlos will continue strengthening his spiritual life, developing human and academic maturity, and reaffirming his desire to serve in the footsteps of St. Anthony Mary Claret, our founder.

Claretians postulancy

This stage of formation helps him:

  • Discern his readiness for religious life
  • Deepen his Claretian identity and missionary spirit
  • Grow in faith, maturity, and community life
  • Prepare wholeheartedly for the novitiate

We are filled with joy and gratitude as Juan Carlos says “yes” to this new step in his vocation. We invite our community to pray for him as he continues his journey of discernment, service, and missionary calling.
