A name that honors and celebrates Mother Mary, the holy mother of Jesus, as a virtuous and devoted woman. Around the world, Mary is called by many names—Mother of God, Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Peace—and known for her faithfulness, comforting presence, and defense of justice.

In challenging times, Mother Mary reminds us to trust. As a young girl, poor and unmarried, she said yes to God. Although she didn’t understand everything, she kept walking when the journey was painful. She remained standing by the cross when others fled. Later, she became a leader in the early church. She knew sorrow, loss, and pain—and offered love in return. 

Today, Mother Mary calls us to pray for the healing of the world. As the mother of Jesus, she is also a mother to anyone who suffers, who longs for hope, who has no words. She pleads for mercy, for justice, and for the dignity of all God’s people. Pray to Mary, and she will guide you to the love of Jesus.

Dear Mother of God,

Through your Yes to God, we were saved by your beloved son Jesus Christ. Your example of unconditional love gives us hope for true love. In the name of Jesus, we ask you to intercede for us and help us recognize your motherly love within ourselves. May we be filled with the love that nurtures, protects, comforts, delivers, and fills every space of our lives with peace. Amen.
