accompany

To walk beside someone on a faith journey. Not in front, leading. Not behind, nudging. But alongside, listening with the heart of God. A companion is present, offering solace, exploring grace, uncovering wisdom, and mirroring God’s invitation to draw near.

Sometimes, life takes us down difficult paths on our faith journey. We face raging waters. We toil under the blazing sun of uncertainty. We lose our way in the dark. Naturally we question: Why? How much longer? And where is God?

These are the times when we need others to walk beside us—to listen and understand. To remind us that we are not alone, that God does not lead us into the desert or the waters to abandon us. We need others to accompany us and show us that faith is about trusting that all things can be made new.

Prayer for Today

Dear God,

Thank You for being with me all the time, especially when I have felt alone. Thank You for sending that stranger to pray over me when I needed it the most. I know it was You right beside me.

Please continue to guide me and nurture my life through Your presence in others, and let me be that presence when my brothers and sisters need it most.

How have you felt God’s presence in your life?

“When you pass through waters, I will be with you; through the rivers, you shall not be swept away.”

Isaiah 43:2
